Leadership

Mr. Micah Owen brings a strong background in primary education and community leadership to his role as Vice Principal at HCCA. With years of experience as an elementary educator, he offers valuable insight into student development, academic excellence, and faith-based leadership. Mr. Owen earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Education and spent several years teaching before pursuing additional professional success in real estate, where he now serves as a respected local Realtor and Managing Broker in Southwest Colorado. His passion for education, paired with his practical business experience, makes him a dynamic and knowledgeable leader for the HCCA community. A devoted family man, Micah and his wife, Sophie, are proud parents to their three children. Deeply connected to the local community, Mr. Owen is committed to serving families both in education and beyond.

Ms. Kate Willyard brings over 20 years of teaching experience and 16 years of dedicated service at HCCA to her role as Principal. A passionate educator with a heart for young learners, her primary focus has been in Kindergarten, where she has spent years building strong educational foundations for children. Ms. Kate graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and has held various teaching licenses throughout her accomplished career. Her extensive classroom experience, academic excellence, and faith-centered leadership provide HCCA with knowledgeable and compassionate guidance. Outside of school, Ms. Kate loves to sing, play music, and is especially known for her love of cats. Her warmth, dedication, and joyful spirit make her a cherished leader within the HCCA community.
